Join us for a creative and inspiring art class where nature becomes art! Participants will explore the beauty of natural materials as we gather sticks, leaves, seed pods, feathers, stones, and other treasures from the outdoors to create unique hanging mobiles. This hands-on class encourages imagination, observation, and artistic expression while celebrating the colors, textures, and movement found in nature. Perfect for artists of all ages, this fun and relaxing experience will leave you with a one-of-a-kind mobile to enjoy at home.

Cost: $20/student/class

Spend the summer with us creating art inspired by the beauty of the natural world! In these hands-on classes, students will explore nature through creating with materials inspired by forests, gardens, rivers, stones, flowers, and the night sky, each class combines creativity, imagination, and a connection to the outdoors. Projects are designed for all skill levels and encourage students to observe, experiment, and create unique works of art inspired by the world around them.

At ADS we value kindness, the creative process and community. We believe that making art promotes many valuable life skills, such as critical and creative thinking, communication, receiving constructive feedback, collaboration, accountability, and fine motor skills, just to name a few.
Each class includes a brief art history lesson, a technique demonstration, and a hands-on project inspired by the day’s theme. Participants are welcome to come and go as needed—staying for the full session is not required. All supplies will be included, unless otherwise discussed in advance. Each week, prior to class, I will post the artist/project we will be discussing.

For our youngest artists, children under age 5 will need a parent or caregiver to stay and lend a helping hand during class. Projects are adaptable to suit all ages and ability levels. Please bring a snack and a water bottle.
